[Guide] Ultimate Downgrader thread

These are for the Fat PSPs..
i'll start of with
-2.00-2.80 (any motherboard)
-2.81-3.03 (any motherboard)
-3.10-3.50 (any motherboard)


okay lets start

-2.00-2.80 (any motherboard)


Download:
2.80 downgrade files
1.50 eboot

needed if not on firmware 2.80:
2.80 eboot(for upgrading)

please upgrade to 2.80 if you do you not have this firmware..if you already have 2.80 go to step 1
to update.. rename the 2.80 eboot to EBOOT.PBP if it isn't already and put it in X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE and run update in game menu
Note** X is your psp drive


1. Open the downloaded 2.80 Downgrade Files (280dg.zip) and copy the PSP folder to the root of you memory stick. (Not MP_ROOT)

2. rename the 1.5 update EBOOT to UPDATE.PBP and put it in X:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE

3. Go to the Photo Menu on the psp and enter the HEN_280 folder
If the psp freezes restart and try agin
Tip: Try going to slide show on photo menu if having trouble
Tip: Rush the photo menu

4. When the program is ran you will see a colored screen which can be one of two colors
Red - The files could not write to the flash. If this happens try again.
Blue - The files were written successfully
If successfull you can test hen by trying a application/homebrew

Have Battery at 75% or higher and Power Plugged in to continue on.

4. Execute the 2.80 idstorage changer.

5. Now execute "Update X.YX"

6. If all went fine and you restarted your psp when it said to you will receive a blue screen telling you to press O, press it and reset your settings.

now you should be on 1.50



-2.81-3.03 (any motherboard)


ok lets start
download:
3.03 downgrade files
1.50 eboot

needed if not on firmware 3.03:
3.03 eboot(to upgrading)

please upgrade to 3.03 if you do you not have this firmware...if you are already on 3.03 go straight to step 1
to update.. rename the 3.03 eboot to EBOOT.PBP if it isn't already and put it in X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE and run update in game menu
Note** X is your psp drive

If you have an unpatched TA-082 or higher motherboard, you will be prompted to allow the downgrader to patch your motherboard so it can be safely downgraded. The downgrader will not let you proceed without patching, if your motherboard requires it.

this guide requires any grand theft auto: liberty city stories UMD with the 2.0 update
make sure your battery is 75% charged and still plugged in when using this guide

1. Open the 3.03 downgrade file (303dg.zip) and copy the psp folder to the root of your memory stick. Example Image
Note: Don't copy the PSP folder into the MP_ROOT folder

2. Open the 1.5 update zip and rename the EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP then copy it to /PSP/GAME/UPDATE/
Make sure not to overwrite PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP

4. Load GTA LCS

5. It should get to loading save game, clear the screen, the screen should fill with a light blue color and then reset the PSP
(If this does not happen see below)

6. Check that HEN is running by going to system settings then System Information and it should show up as system version 303 HEN

7. If it is showing up as 3.03 HEN then go to the Game menu and run the x.yz update

8. Before the downgrader does anything to your PSP it will ask for you to agree to what it is doing
If you no longer want to continue press the Right Shoulder Button (R-TRIGGER).

9. Once you have agreed to start the downgrade do not unplug the PSP

10. Once finished the PSP will ask you to press X, after pressing it will reset it self. (If it don't reset press O instead)

11. If a blue screen (BSOD) comes up saying that the settings are corrupt press X or O to continue.

12. Enjoy the new 1.5 PSP

~FAQ~

Q. How do I get my network connections back?
A. If you do not want to re enter them load the included NetConfigBackup application on your PSP

Q. Is there any way to downgrade 2.81 and higher without GTA?
A. Currently there is not.

Q. The screen turns black after downgrading but turns on after about a minute but then turns off agin.
A. Click the brightness button




-3.10-3.50 (any motherboard)

if your on 3.10-3.40 i suggest upgrading to 3.50 so downgrading will go smoothly

1.50 eboot

3. Load the Lumines UMD, and as soon as it gets to the Press START screen, press START.
